The Chattanooga Future Fund is a tool to make college and career training more accessible for all students.
Starting January 2025, every kindergartener and middle schooler in Hamilton County Schools will receive $100 in a savings account with his or her name on it…with the opportunity to earn more.
This money can grow over time and can be used to pay for education expenses after high school.
When a student graduates, the money can help pay for a wide variety of educational expenses including:
Apprenticeships in trades,
technology or other fields
Technical training
for high-demand,
high-wage jobs
Two- or four-year
colleges and universities
Education-related expenses like housing, technology and transportation
